Friday marked the 100th anniversary of a Twitter campaign calling for India to adopt positive cryptocurrency regulation. Nischal Shirx, the CEO of Wazirx cryptocurrency exchange, started his campaign on October 31, last year. This coincided with Satoshi’s whitepaper’s 10th birthday. Every day, he tweets at lawmakers to urge them to implement positive regulation for India. He uses the hashtag “Indiawantscrypto”

The CEO shared his campaign stats. According to him, the 99 daily Twitter posts up to Thursday generated 1.48M impressions. This resulted in 57.374 user interactions, such as replies, retweets, and likes.

Shetty explained that the ban on Indian banks was important because it made it clear that India should adopt crypto. She also said that education of the masses and government is the first step. This campaign is designed to increase awareness so that the government can take the right steps towards crypto.
